Times /ck/ lied to you

"American food is bad"
>be European
>travel to America to meet family
>go to macdonalds and order a double quarter pounder with cheese and a medium fries
>it's absolutely fucking delicious
>so good I get the same thing the next day

You're now addicted to sugar. Congrats.

You are so naive. I'd encourage you to look at the ingredients for McDonald's food. Everything has sugar in it. When they had salads, those had sugar too.

stupid people think fast food, especially mcdonalds is special bad food, much worse than eating a 1000 calorie meal of beef, cheese, bread and fried potatoes at home.

If you get "sugar" as the first concern that pops into your head when hearing about a cheeseburger I think you need to put down the keto fad literature for a day or two and let your perspective come back to normal functioning sane person territory.
Carbs and blood sugar spiking are legitimate topics (for people who already let themselves go badly enough to where they/re insulin resistant / pre-diabetic anyway), but this being terrified of sugar meme is getting excessive.

>> No.12862489

>>12862474
I didn't say it didn't have sugar you hysterical autist. What I'm saying is "too much sugar" is a really warped concern to get out of someone mentioning they ate a cheeseburger and fries.
These things are relative, and the amount of sugar you're getting from a cheeseburger and fries isn't a normal thing for people to be worried about.

Yeah, I am American and I mostly stopped eating bread about a year ago. I had a piece of brioche the other day and I was amazed how fucking sweet it was.
I encourage all Americans (and all people, really) to make their own bread at home. It may be hard to master but it's easy to get started and it's rewarding.

Are you just pretending to be retarded?
It's 10 grams of sugar in a double quarter pounder with cheese, and that's not even *half* the sugar you would get from a mere 8 ounces worth of orange juice for example.
