A burger is a sandwich with a round bun and a patty made of ground meat. A Mcchicken fits this definition because it’s chicken portion is made of a ground chicken patty, and is therefore a chicken burger. However, it’s shit. A real chicken sandwich has a whole chicken breast on jt.

I think a lot of people think it comes from the McChicken, which is not true. The McChicken was the most successful invention in American History, so there's no denying it.
