I've cut pizza with scissors out of desperation once and would just use a knife if I had to do it again.
We have a rolling tool allowing for long, continuous slices from above for a reason.
They aren't even hard to sharpen, just use a sharpening block and don't be a clumsy retard.

Because of the rocking motion the mezzaluna uses you'll need a board larger to protect the surface than if you used any other way to cut the pizza crust. Besides that it will be a nightmare cutting through the cheesy interior as you furiously rock back and forth with the pizza constantly flopping around as it sticks to it and then unsticks. Also the mezzaluna due to the rocking motion is not meant for precise cutting. It is a terrible tool only meant for indiscriminate chopping like for vegetables by someone with palsy.

I would dissagree. You can chop much faster with knives and they are more of a multitool. Scissors can do one or two uses well, but even then they are relatively slow. You can also dice mince, etc with knife.
