There's no real limit. They come in a variety of types, heat levels and flavors and they're still good well beyond their "best by" date, some even improving with age. I keep four stocked (cholula, tobasco, sriracha and Louisiana) but if I find a new hot sauce or spice mix to try I'd pick it up too. The more the merrier, especially if you live further South where practically everyone uses the stuff.
What I wonder is where OP's from that hot sauce is considered a challenge and not a standard flavoring. I don't consider people wusses for not enjoying hot sauce, but I think I'll make an acception for OP since he comes off as someone who somehow fears the concept as if adding fucking cholula of all things would make your food too hot to enjoy. Way to go above and beyond the call of duty, OP...

He's right though, adding pepper-flavor and a little bit of heat to an otherwise mostly standard plate of jumbalaya or grilled chicken is nice. Where are you from that hot sauce even feels like a challenge and not a simple table condiment? Have you ever actually tried the more common choices like tobasco? If not, grab a small bottle and dab a little onto some dirty rice or whatever else it may compliment. You'll notice that now that you're an adult(?) you can very easily handle it.
