Yesterdays discussion about falling off the bone led to experiment today with ribs in my instant pot.
Turns out i like my ribs a bit less tender than i thought.
Puc related still a bit chewy and you have to tug a bit to get it off the bone.
Thanks /ck/, you taught me something new once again

what advantages does doing ribs in an instapot have over wrapping in foil and doing them in the oven? oven ribs lets you build up a lacquer of sauce and only takes ~2.5 hours

You are correct that a roasted on sauce is superior

Lots of coarse ground black pepper, garlic, then a small amount of non thickened teriyaki marinade for the liquid.
Today i did 15min then natural release but they were not done so i did another three min and another natural release.
Coat in sauce and broil for ten minutes if you have access to an oven

I agree. The meat should still be toothsome and require a little effort to get off the bone. If the bones just slip out, then the meat itself will be a little too soft and mushy.
