For me, the stomach ulcer formed suddenly and has not healed for years. I can no longer drink alcohol, or eat anything acidic or spicy. Even still the pain remains agonizing in the mornings.

I never had problems with blood in excrement it occurred suddenly and then effected my whole stomach for life.
