Why are European eggs like this?

They are a reflection of your soul.

>> No.12739487

Unwashed fresh eggs don't need to be refridgerated for the first 12 days or so. American eggs must be washed by law, so they need refridgeration from day 1.

europeans are subhuman

Honestly, the EU has different cleaning and sanitation procedures than the US. I won't get into which is better, link to basic article bellow, but they both are generally safe so long as you cook the eggs afterwards or eat them quickly if used in mayonnaise.

I'm a borgor so I still refrigerate eggs out of habit even though the fridge in my apartment is super small.

This.

Just checked that business insider article, and it's the other way round. The EU forbids washing eggs by law, and instead vaccinates their chicken. While washing has become common in the US (although not mandatory it seems).

>vaccinates
>salmonella, campylobacter, and listeria increases
Maybe they should go back to keeping nests clean, and washing eggs.

Washing eggs removes salmonellae, but also that protective layer. Both approaches have their reasons.

>> No.12740168

>>12740155
Yea, but the EU's approach led to an increase of salmonella, and listeria.

Everywhere in the EU or in specific places? As an EU fag I know animal keeping varies wildly quality wise

EU as a whole, and per 100k people. It's one of the reasons why the Yanks aren't convinced on adopting vaccination.

>EU relies on vaccination
>US relies on cleanliness, and refrigeration

Right. If the statistics just went by 100k internal variation between countries wouldnt show though right? I mean salmonella for example is non existant in swedish eggs thanks to the high standard of production here.

OK.

pretty sure they also wash the eggs in asia

>> No.12740698

You don't have to refrigerate eggs in the usa, its just done to reduce liability. When I go camping, unless its the middle of the summer, I leave eggs in a shaded spot but not in the cooler. They are fine for a few days.

They're definitely about 50% less human.

Eggs keep out of the fridge for like a month
