Why do 'mericans do this???
Do they not know what garlic is, I'm 99% sure they don't since they somehow use it as "salt"
> hey man pass me some of that garlic salt, yeehaw

All I know is that my boy Ja/ck/ stroke-out Scalfani loves this garlic in water, and that salt shit too.

I've bought various pre-minced garlic and garlic pastes when I was excessively busy to keep food prep time low, but all of them taste horrible including the expensive ones. Garlic salt and other seasoning blends are good for when you live with people who are cooking retarded.

>> No.12738173

Yes, because as a brown man we simply buy the whole garlic and mince it as the cooking process goes along.

I use one of these to grate garlic in seconds. I also use a silicone garlic peeler so I don't have to smash the cloves with my palm. Easiest garlic prep ever

I love chopping prep, but I fucking goddamn hate cutting sticky, tiny ass garlic. I just said fuck it last time I was at the store and bought this pre-minced shit. Don't taste a difference.

I have a jar of preminced garlic I use for quick single portions meals or just to add on stuff I want more garlic like a sub or bought salsa.
Anything with actual preparation I'll use fresh garlic though.

If I need impossibly small pieces of garlic (or need it for a trivial task ASAP) I'll use a press or a microplane. I've done "garlic paste" with a knife and salt, but it's a pain in the ass.

I go through several cloves a week. I also keep minced garlic on hand for when I need to add it quickly as I forgot, or, like tonight where I was just fucking tired. Really don't give a fuck that you don't know how and when to use it.

Get yourself an OXO garlic press, and one of those tube peelers to quickly peel the cloves, and a butter knife. Instant freshly mashed/minced garlic in 10-15 seconds. Then if you wait about 10 minutes, cook with it, then eat it, you'll even get to reap maximum allicin health benefits formed from crushing the garlic.
