Just import a hisoft board from Japan, there are too many religious maniacs making "made in USA patriot proud" cutting boards, the risk is too high

Go to a restaurant supply place
Get a Boo'S block
Got one for the wife nearly a decade ago. Gets used nearly every day, multiple meals on the weekends.
Minimal maintenance. We keep it rinsed off and use the wax cream rub on it two or three times a year.
Still in great shape.
Think it was like $50

I have a black sparkly marble one which is heavy as fuck and would not recommend. Looks pretty but isn't practical, also prone to scratches.

Is that walnut? I made mine from birdseye maple and honduras rosewood. That's gorgeous.

Material matters. Maple and walnut are good because of how they strike a balance at being soft enough to avoid deforming a fine edge on your blade, but not so soft that you'll need to replace them every few years. Bamboo and teak are not good woods; they're too hard and teak actually has microscopic crystals within the wood that will dull your knife.

Construction matters. A thick cutting board is less likely to deform as it gets washed and dried. It's also going to last a long time if you have to refinish the top of the board many times through its life. Side grain is fine, but will require much more frequent resurfacing. End grain construction allows a blade to get the maximum cushion when it hits the board. End grain is also the easiest to maintain, since wood fibers aren't severed every time you cut, and when you oil it, the mineral oil can absorb through the entire board by just coating the top of it.

This looks fine.

I use a Boardsmith end grain maple cutting board.

Whatever you get, get wood and polish it with mineral oil every month.

this
but obviously only bother with this if you're buying something worthwhile, if you're gonna buy $7 bamboo cutting boards and just replace them, don't waste your money on oil. it won't help.
