I decided to try it out myself a few weeks ago when I spotted it at Safeway. It cost $5.99 for two patties which is more expensive than a pound of beef here.
Initial reaction was it smelled very odd when I took it out of the packaging, and once it was on the pan my house started to smell like french fries. I put some American cheese on it and took a bite to see what the flavor profile was like without anything extra on it. The taste itself was extremely similar to a regular, juicy burger, the texture was hard to tell the difference as well which I found surprising.

Overall I'd give it a 7/10, it tastes like a burger and feels like a burger and makes me think that the future of "meat" will be this sort of product, especially if it gets better.
