There's actually one in Idaho but it isn't called Central Park anymore. They renamed themselves to a "Burger Hut" after they realized how much they were paying in franchise fees to get little to no support from CP, probably as they were on the decline. But this place still gets all of their stuff from the same suppliers and the quality is great after all these years. Top-tier seasoned fries and some great burgers.

This is stupidly regional but in some regions of quebec there's these kitchen fast foods called "Poulet Fritout" (fried chicken but with one word mixed) and they are always really fucking good. Funnily enough theres this universal rule of life here that if some 45+ year old boomer calls a restaurant a "Poulet fritout" even if it hasnt been one in 30 years, its still gonna serve some bomb-ass chicken.

A local burger joint called The Landmark. only resturaunt in this tiny ass cabin town. used to go by the dairy dome in the 80s but closed for about 20yrs and new owners now. When I worked at Foley's department store, at Barton Creek Mall in Austin while in college, there was an Olga's right outside the entrance I worked closest to. There's a gas station I nearby that sells this. I've had it before and I wasn't blown away. It was decently good, mind you, but not anything to write home about. The chicken was tender and juicy, just like chicken should be. It wasn't anything wonderful though. The breading was just breading. It was okay, granted. It was good for what it was - and that's gas station fast food. Don't buy this if you're expecting some five star gourmet meal because that's not what you're going to get and you'll be disappointed. But if you go into this expecting a decent fast food meal then I think you're going to be happy. I give it an 8.39 out of 10.

This place has been around my town longer than I have, and has gone through several owners. When I was younger, the inside was covered in old memorabilia like framed newspapers from the moon landing, JFK assassination, some portraits of older celebs including one of Elvis with one of his old licenses. Man, people give taco trucks a bad rap but there are ones with fucking stellar food. Right around the corner from my house maybe a 200 yards away parked next to a mom and pop liquor store there's one that's fucking amazing. Starting out it was just one woman with a lawn chair an ice chest full of tamales she made, now she's made so much money that she has her own truck with fancy lighting and advertising screens, a crew, and tables and chairs. They don't open until like 3 or 4 but the entire parking lot gets packed around 5PM. Still haven't gotten down to LA to do their taco trucks, they get crazy with theirs

I'm not sure if they have the same menu everywhere but I love the lamb and chicken over rice, beef patties, samosas, the dark meat pieces I've had before have been hit or miss sometimes really good other times, tendies pretty good. Also sometimes they have nation of islam bean pies, I never tried one but been meaning to.

Their fried chicken pieces and wings seem to have a suspicious lack of cartilage and sinewy stuff though, the bones come out clean with zero effort. But it tastes alright so I won't think about it too much.
