Have you ever met a single person who said "I don't like pizza"? Everybody likes pizza. My great grandfather liked pizza, even though he was a skanky old frustrate. Think about it for a second. You can't get more utopian than pizza. There's nothing else in the world that unites people so universally. If there was ever a >thing< that should win the Nobel Peace prize, then my vote goes to pizza.
No, seriously. If you've ever met any person who said "I don't like pizza" then you've probably interacted with a sociopath.

Sure. They didn't like tomatoes' flavor. Consequently, they did not like pizza.

American tourists. The Schmuckatellis of Ohio come to visit the "old country" to see their heritage, but they're not quite ready to try the local cuisine.

I don't understand this about Americans. You have access to the best, freshest ingredients. Anything you choose to be good at, you become the best at. (Your Californian olive oil is extremely good, for example.)

And yet, when it comes to food, 99% of the time you are content eating over-processed chemical sewage. Why?

its cheaper, so its more easily accessible

most people in the US don't give a shit because at the end of the day their experience is the same

what makes you think fresh ingredients matter? Is it taste? Americans like canned tomatoes
Does that make them bad or stupid?
Why?
Because they care about things that are different from you

You probably don't get it, but America is about liking what you like and not getting in anyone else's way
so get out of ours

America's food safety agency is owned and operated by the companies that actually produce the food, and they aren't taught nutrition in school, so the people are literally too stupid to know what good food is and there's nothing to prevent the food manufacturers from selling them addictive poison.

You can tell how educated an American is almost entirely by how fat they are. Obesity in America gets higher as the people get poorer.

Never underestimate how stupid Americans can get if someone else can profit.

We're talking about the country that classified both ketchup and pizza as vegetables for the purposes of creating menus for children's school lunches.
Somewhere out there is an American, struggling to breathe, thinking "My favorite vegetable is an extra-large stuffed crust Meat Lover's from Pizza Hut."

i guess so, how can their parents be that dumb too tho, i suppose they grew up before fast food was such a common option so for sure some of them must have seen mommy prepare some food
fries are also considered vegetables iirc, so a pizza+fries qualifies as a turbo diet meal?

>> No.12663471

>how can their parents be that dumb too tho, i suppose they grew up before fast food was such a common option

In the US, women stopped regularly cooking at home when the entered the workforce en masse after WW2. Quick, easy-to-prepare meals replaced home-cooked meals. Fresh ingredients were replaced with ones full of preservatives because Mom couldn't go to the store as often.
Everyone has longer and longer commutes to work, so they have to eat fast food on the go. There's no time to eat breakfast. American jobs do not offer lunch-hour, so workers generally have to shovel fast food into their mouths as quickly as possible.
It's been over 70 years since Americans, as a country, knew what real food was.

This. And to add to it, Americans get very touchy about their parenting skills.

Any attempt to teach children about proper nutrition is met with a bunch of fatties bellowing about not being told how to raise their children.

>"I don't like pizza"
plenty.
General complaint is the greasiness of the pizza, or too much cheese. It doesn't help that the crusts are really love it or hate it determining factor and there's people who sits on many ends of that debate as well.

If the complaint is about the dough, you can generally just find them a place that does pizza dough the way they like it.
If the complaint is grease or the cheese? Not much hope there of changing their minds
