I didn't even gorge, I just ate really calorie dense foods. A big breakfast say 1000, and then 2 small burgers at ~2ish which were like 800, which fucked it all up but i was so hungry. then dinner was 1300.

I've def been there. it's rough but just try and figure out what you could have done differently and do it next time. also make sure your family member isn't trying to secretly sabotage your weight loss.

I would recommend a complete change of eating habits. Set a diet, even if restrictive, to begin a gradual decline of food intake. Set realistic goals in the beginning, and then begin challenging yourself. Use your past cravings as a rewards system for bettering yourself. It all comes down to controlling addictions, habits and behaviours and developing beneficial discipline.

I genuinely think as we get older, we lose our sense of perspective on portion sizes. Modern life makes it easier to lose your way. I had an epiphany. I used to eat what I wanted when I was in school, but actually, day to day, I didn't eat that much. Each meal was just some meat(maybe 200g), some carbs (maybe a bowl of rice, or a handle of noodle), and some veg. Washed down with water or soup. That's probably only about 700 calories. That means the 2 main meals only make up 1400 kcal. Add 250 for breakfast (eggs, maybe 2 slices of bread). Net calories is undet 1700.

Now a main meal is 1100 calories. Wtf.

The thing with eating less it your stomach and your mind is used to eating large portions multiple times a day. The first week or so of eating like a thin person is going to leave you hungry and it is going to suck, but if you can power through it, after 1 to 1.5 weeks it will become remarkably easier.
