okay I know some of you probably think you are "too good for fast food" but can the rest of you agree that Burger King's "zesty sauce" is more addictive than crack?

I have tried to make mimics/clones of it using online recipes but none of them really seem to get it right. Do any of you have a good clone for zesty sauce?

Also since not everyone likes zesty sauce, the rest of you can post any good clone recipe you have for any popular food item. I think its fun to see how well people can reverse engineer food, because im shitty at it

You're in a real minority here; not only do you eat fast food, but you also want to cook. I've never had it but if I had to take a guess, it's probably ranch mixed with buffalo sauce or something, right?

Don't open that, it's mustard gas

at its core its really just horseradish sauce, mayo, and ketchup. And I know im in the minority, but I figured it was worth a shot. I do almost all of my own cooking, im not just out there slamming big macs in my car every night... but I figured I cant be the only person who has gone to burger king

burger king also has the best sweet n sour sauce out of all the major fast food joints

I've been to BK once and didn't like it very much.

Anyway, looking at the ingredients, you're probably right. Seems like there's more mayo and horse radish than anything else so those should be equal, and there's a very small amount of ketchup for colour more than anything else.

okay so you havn't been to BK, and I hate to bring in another chain restaurant but have you ever had the blooming onion sauce at Outback? its kinda similar to that

I've never been to an Outback, sorry. I'm not American so I'm not even sure we have that here. I wish you luck in recreating Zest sauce. I found this video, maybe this hits closer than what I suggested? They use horse radish mayo as well as normal mayo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfJPL-9y16k

thanks bud, Ill give that one a shot. And man I probably sound like a typical fat american loon by trying to recreate fast food sauce... but im telling you this shit is good. Im also just a sucker for horseraddish, I love that nose clearing burn!

When I first came here it was mostly about cooking. It doesn't have any standards anymore, but compared to how bad the rest of 4chan has become, it may seem that way.

Posted it before I could. The honey mustard and polynesian sauces are the best I ever had at a fast food place.
