>these f'ing things
I had one for 10 years until finally it broke. The only place it had a brand name was on the handle, which rubbed off after so much use.

I've bought 6 now, and can't find a good replacement. They all shred themselves up because they don't have a "stopper" to prevent the pusher from touching the grater, and all of them end up grating themselves into your cheesy goodness.

Do you have a hand-held rotary cheese grater that you can't part with? I'm tired of eating plastic or breaking the rotating tool just by shredding a soft cheddar.

Notes from previous thread:
>all amazon tools are based on the same flawed design and eat themselves. I know this because I've bought 6 of them and they all do this. You can even see pictures posted by other customer purchases.
>The metal grater recommended has a faulty gasket design. It will eventually stop working properly, and then at all. This does not mean all metal designs do this, so please recommend another if you know of one.
and of course
>A microplane is not the same as a rotary grater, nor does it do quite the same job in the same time, with the same ease of function
>Must be handheld, portability is key
>All plastic rotaries on Amazon will eat themselves because they have no bump stop designed into them like the original good ones these are all based on
>a plate does not equal a bowl, no matter how hard you try to claim it does
>using the words "asshole," "idiot," and "stupid" are only working to deny your support in any side of the argument you take
>contrary to popular demonstration, there ARE adults who use this site, so try to act like one to avoid the "you must be 18+ to use this site" routine
and as always...
>this isn't /b/, try not to act like it is

Have you tried to build a bump stop in the bottom of the "hopper"? You won't be able to grate the whole piece but if you make it thin enough it might work.

>> No.12585571

I've only purchased one. It looked identical to the one in your OP image. It broke within a month.

I think the design is really clever but the majority of them are cheap and lack the strength to last. If I were to buy another I'd make sure it was all metal with THICK attachment parts.

>> No.12585575

If you're this autistic about it just contact your local metal shop and commission them to build you a replica to your specifications

If you're too poor for that, settle for commissioning a metal feed tool with stopper to attatch to one of your plastic shits.

Don't you realise when you're at the end of whatever you're grinding?
I recently bought my mother a new one for practically nothing on eBay after the ones she's been using for the last 30 or 40 years finally broke. Neither the old nor the new one has a stop to prevent some retard grinding plastic, and yet it has never happened, in this house at least.

I have a question for you OP
why is it you are not able to pay enough attention to what you are doing and grind past the cheese and into the plastic ?
another anon from your previous thread asked this question as well. how hard is it for you to pay enough attention to how much cheese you have grated , then stop to add more cheese so as not grind up your cheese grater ?
this seems like it would not be hard at all and the fact you continue to do it and damage the graters indicates you are not very intelligent.

Do they just not make quality rotary grater products anymore? then admit they are not very intelligent by going beyond the logical end of an operation and into the destruction of the kitchen tool because they can not seem to figure out they have run out of cheese , and cannot seem to notice the difference between a SOFT SUBSTANCE like the cheese ..and THE HARD SUBSTANCE LIKE PLASTIC !!!! that you grind it up into your FOOD !!

so I have to ask as so many other anons have asked … how stupid are you ? or if your IQ is that low YOU should not be allowed into a kitchen or anywhere near sharp objects.

So, let's just look at your post, shall we? "Tantrum" by definition, is not what OP is doing. If anything, it is closer to what you are doing.

Being "self absorbed" because someone is asking for advice? Wow, and I bet when you take the car to a mechanic who says you need new brake pads, you probably call him an idiot, too and say you need new windshield wipers. Makes sense.

If you read carefully, they specifically ask you not to act like an idiot. So to call them "not very intelligent" is a contradictory and hypocritical statement. You, sir, are borderline brain dead.
