I highly doubt that there exists much native recipes since the us basically killed their culture. If you want a good answer, then you can go to reservations and/or interact with natives, or look up how a particular tribe did things historically (ie before the white man). Prepare for some basic dishes though as some tribes were nomadic or semi-nomadic and that doesn't lend itself well to keeping a food stock.

i dont think you realize the tax credits, interest free loans, and grants you get for being native american, and if you live on reservation it gets even crazier cheaper. most my fellow redskins are too into meth to ever even try to own a home, they are happy in their broken down rv's and trailer homes

the biggest grant came from my tribe though, not the government, they allowcate X amount of dollars from casino revenue and timber sales to a home owner fund for tribal members, and every member approved the previous year, they divide it equally, and i either lucked out, or its just a sad state of affairs, but there were only 4 people who were approved for the tribal grant. but we are getting far from cooking, native cooking is bland and boring, my tribe is right near the columbia river which is huge for salmon, but thats about all we have

Also I know this is a bait thread but OP if you’re interested in native crops at least there’s a website for this seed saving mission called Native Seeds/Search. Not all of it is exclusive to the Southwest but some stuff like tepary beans are. I can’t really speak for what’s been preserved outside the area though I would encourage anons to take an interest in these crops if you garden. As someone who works diagnosing plant diseases monoculture will destroy us and we need to expand our horizons.
