Why do people grocery shop at walmart? Im not above picking up a few groceries when Im there, and when I was a truck driver I got my groceries there because you can park a big rig. Well too fucking bad, since it's what we did every night. One time some woman came in right before closing and I made the announcement, but she didn't listen. I was walking out of the door 10 minutes after the listed closing time and she yelled at me and asked me where she was supposed to check out since all the registers were empty. I told her that we were closed and that she would have to put back all of the stuff in her cart, and then I left. Me and the manager had a laugh about it on my next shift. I’ve only ever seen Sam’s Clubs with gas stations. You do make a good point about fuel rewards at other grocers. However I think to answer your question the kind of people shopping at Walmart for cheaper food don’t seem to me like the kind of people that would think there are other things you can save on. So instead of saving a little bit on groceries and gas, they would rather save a lot on groceries, but nothing on gas. I hope that makes sense.
