What brand produces the best BBQ sauce?

I know it might be subjective but I dont think I ever had great BBQ sauce before but that might change.

I don't say this often regarding condiments, but honestly just make your own. It's honestly just a matter of throwing a dozen ingredients in a pot, letting it simmer for an hour, then hitting it with an immersion blender. I've never had a bottled bbq sauce even come close to the most half assed home made version.

I'm pretty partial to Cattlemen's stuff, surprisingly not in the OP pic.

I haven't found one I really love. Sweet Baby Ray's is overrated and actually borderline garbage.

I would unironically try Guy Fieri's bbq sauce

Unfortunately I have. It's sickly sweet and boring as fuck.

>sickly sweet
Too bad, the bottled ones I've tried have all been way too heavy on the sugar.

Stubbs, OP. Go with Stubbs. If you can find Stubbs Spicy version try it too. Actually, they're all good. What do you know about Johnny Harris BBQ sauce though?

Whatever brand that isn't filled with high fructose corn syrup. Stubb's original is my usual go to. Not a bad idea to make your own either.

Stubbs is probably the best you can get nationally

They had one in my city. Shutdown after a year. They put it in a bad location near the college campus where the old cokehead/dealer pool hall was.

You haven't tried a great one because you're using bottled sauce. It's much better fresh. When you make it fresh you also have the ability to tailor it to the spices on whatever meat your using so it pairs perfectly. It's super simple to make and there's a million different variations. I don't think I've ever made it the same way twice but it's always better than bottled. Also, if you frequently find yourself using pre made condiments then you aren't an actual cook/chef

>> No.12545308

Stubbs it's not overly sweet like most other sauces. The Spicy & Original flavors are my favorite but Sweet Heat is also good.
