You’ve been asked to create your ideal pot of Japanese-style curry rice, cooked purely to your own tastes. What’s your:

>Protein?
>Vegetables?
>Pre-made roux (which brand) or homemade?
>Add-ins?
>Grain?
>Thick or thin?
>What do you do with leftovers?

Here’s mine

>Thinly-sliced beef or pork
>Onions, carrots, cauliflower
>Pre-made (½ Vermont ½ Kokumaro)
>Garam masala, honey, bulldog sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, a couple of bay leaves and a spoonful of paste beef stock
>White rice or Cauliflower rice
>Thick enough to coat the ingredients
>Curry udon or reheated and eaten with rice

Beef

Carrots, Japanese sweet potato, onion, garlic

I used to buy premade, but now I make it myself, it's so much better from scratch.
>Add-ins?
Pickled ginger & scallions (on top)
>Grain?
Haiga rice
>Thick or thin?
Fairly thick, but not too thick
>What do you do with leftovers?
Eat them the next day for lunch

Genius. It's like curry pan without the bullshit of actually making curry pan.

I like to get the 400g of rice beef curry (0 sweetness 8 spicy) with a cheese hamburger and fried garlic, and a beer

It's nice though. Let me guess, you make curries that are big watery clumpy masses of different and unsuitably matched ingredients.

Why would anyone bother with Japanese style curry when Indian curry exists?

Because they are completely different things that people like for different reasons on different occasions when they are in the mood for different things and most people can enjoy more than one type of thing?

Holy shit!!!!! What a fucking revelation!!!!!!! How long did it take you to figure that out!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!! Somebody give this man the Nobel Prize!!!!!!

Everybody fucking knows Japanese curry is essentially a beef stew. You eat it when you are in the mood for something like that, leading back to my first post. Retard.

I like Indian curry and Japanese curry. Thai curry too. And Cambodian, and Vietnamese, and Nepalese, and Pakistani - I just like curry. I eat different kinds when I am in the mood for different things. Pretty complicated but since you are the genius who was able to deduce that people like Japanese curry for it being essentially a stew I have a small amount of confidence in you. Just a small amount.

Enjoy your shitty premade bullion cube stew with rice. Call it Japanese stew because it isn't curry.

Same but Thai curry

Nip curry is probably in the lowest tier of curries in any national cuisine. I mean, it’s okay but everyone else has better dishes

I have some kind of IBS and it seems to do kind of whatever the fuck it wants to, regardless of how well I eat, so I kind of just say fuck it and eat whatever I like.
