I just cooked with a cast iron for the first time and WHAT THE FUCK, this is going to take forever to cool down to clean. How does anyone have time to cook eggs in the morning and clean their pan?

If its new then just wipe it out with a paper towel and salt and clean with boiling water, avoid cooking anything too sticky.
If you have good seasoning then dish soap is fine, just avoid something strong like dishwasher soap or abrasives like steel wool.

You idiot. Did you use oil/butter/bracon grease? I hope so otherwise its gonna be a pain to salvage. Put dish soap and some water in a bowl. Drain any shit in the pan. Either use steel wool or a sponge with salt. Rub some of the soap water in the pan with a sponge. Then use your steel wool or sponge with salt. Scrub good, the outside and handle too. Rinse that out. Pat dry, EVERY LAST DROP YOU CAN. Then put some oil, either canola/rapeseed, olive, or flax seed. Rub it all over, pan, outside handle. WIPE IT DRY, as much as you can. Then put it in the oven for 500 degrees for 25 minutes to an hour depending on pan size.

It will develop cracks. Cast metal is not as uniform as forged. It will always have which will propagate defects if mistreated.

But you shouldn't do that to forged metal either, as it will warp. Cast iron is a lot more resistant to this because it's so thick.

So, I have sanded and reseasoned a chinkshit cast iron pan, Ozark Trail 8", from Walmart, based on instructions from this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljSQrSoSYAE
I used flaxseed oil to season it, but after seasoning the surface is a little oleophobic, which is not a behavior I have seen in my Lodge, which has not been altered in any way since 2016, except for seasoning after cooking. There is very little sticking from cooking store-bought bacon, eggs, and potatoes and they taste fine when cooked on the Ozark Trail skillet in question. Did I mess up the seasoning at some point or is this normal behavior for a properly seasoned skillet? If this, is not normal, how can I correct it?

I think the supplemental iron thing is a meme. How can it leech iron if it's sealed by polymerized fat? Try scrubbing raw cast iron with a towel, you'll see the iron coming off on the towel. Now try with a seasoned cast iron. Nothing.
