Alcohol is actually good for a person.

It’s the reason They tried to ban it, and then regulate it so it was unaffordable.

It's the opposite. State law > Federal law (in the US, other way around in Canada and Australia).

The reason they made it illegal was first so that some US senator's brother who developed nylon could get rich (the same year some dude invented a new kind of hemp harvester that would have made hemp highly competitive against nylon by reducing the price of hemp due to much easier harvesting), and second so the street price of weed would go up and that way Leroy could turn a decent profit. Prohibition always results in higher prices and better sales, no exception. That's why the cigarette companies themselves manufacture those "No sales to persons under 16" signs you see in shops (could be 18 or even 20 depending where in the world you live)... the forbidden factor makes it more tempting to idiot kids.

That was also a factor. The synthetic textiles industry is what killed off wool and other derived products from sheep and goats, such as mutton and milk towards the middle 1930's, pretty much any large scale supply has to be imported from outside countries now, whether lamb meat or cashmere.
Our capitalist economy dictates what stays and what doesn't as long as the people are goaded into what they want to buy, but necessity always determines the outcome in the end.
A tried and true product doesn't always remain profitable, seeing how keeping sheep has always been more cost-effective than cows.
