2 weeks from now is the annual Taste Of Syracuse downtown. There are dozens of local restaurants and food trucks all in one place so you can sample a ton of shit at once. Every vendor has at least one item on the menu that's $1 so you can literally walk around and eat all day.

Drive a bit north to Brewerton (its about a 20 minute drive up 81) and go to Rosie's Corner 2. Order anything, literally fucking anything, and no other restaurant will compare. Huge portions and fantastic quality, and their wings put every other wing you've ever had to SHAME. You'll miss it if you drive by it's so small but it's my favorite place to eat EVER.

For me, it’s Jimmy’s Super Saver on South State St. the fresh, handmade deli sandwiches are just to die for in every bite and the fried foods that the friendly Arab man makes behind the counter really adds a twist on a rainy New York day. In Syracuse, I really only ever look forward to going to Jimmy’s. It’s a refreshing experience and the employees always remember regular customers and greet them with a warm smile and a “Hey Anon, chopped cheese sandwich and an iced tea again right!” And I go “of course! Only place I know in Syracuse that makes my tastebuds dance.” Gosh, I love Jimmy’s Super Saver. You should give it a try

OP, don't listen to these faggots. I lived in Syracuse for a few years working for the fire department, and I really liked it. If you like the outdoors, there is plenty to do within a 2 hour drive. Finger lakes are fun, there is a great beach an hour North, 0 traffic. People are nice and sports bars are fun.

I would go to change of pace for wings whenever I had a craving. The amount of bitching on this site for a simple question is not surprising.

Btw, props to your wife. The police in syracuse are actually well respected among many, and I know the pay is good. I am close friends with a detective with SPD. We go fishing and camping every year together with our families.

Another cool thing about Broome is that we have The Dark Vault of Public Domain.
It's a show on public access, channel 1301 where I am in Endicott, Saturday night at 10pm and again at midnight/Sunday.
It's very rare to catch cool public domain stuff and it's a shitload better than other stuff that's on at that time.
