Making your own is 10 times better. It’s just bitter garlicky fermented pepper sauce; they grind up the seeds and stems and everything. You can remove all the shit that makes the sauce taste worse when you make your own and it’s a lot less expensive. It’s okay but not my favorite style of hot sauce

I've always been against calling food and cooking things "memes", but with shit like sriracha and bacon is has to do with every fucking youtuber (a decade ago) using them in everything, and being so popular and ubiquitous that people started making apparel, candy, and even shit like beer based on them. /ck/ used to shit on it because it was popular. That's less common now because the sriracha fad has died down considerably, but the fact is that /ck/ was right about one thing:
It's nowhere near as good as the people who were sucking its dick a couple years ago claimed it was.
There's nothing really wrong with it, and nothing really special about it. At best it has a different flavor than comparable mexican/southwestern/texmex or cajun hot sauce, which some people like.
