It’s definitely not that expensive. It’s usually only $2-3 more per pound. You don’t need to eat meat with every meal, not even every day. You won’t starve if you reduce your consumption of meat to 3-4 times a week. You’ll actually be healthier. You’re simply trying to justify the cruelty of factory farming to yourselves by pretending it’s necessary and not just greed and gluttony. If we are to both feed everyone and preserve our environment so that there’s actually something left to feed everyone with, we need to switch to sustainable farming practices. I don't eat intensive farming, almost ever. My butcher has his cows in the mountains nearby and breathe air fresher than I do. I would rather eat quality meat once a week than shit meat twice a day. Besides, eggs from extensive farms are like 40 cents more expensive (per pack of 6) and are ten times tastier. Chicken is like 5€/kg more expensive here, not that bad
