Coca-Cola is more acidic and spicy. Pepsi is less acidic and citrusy. I prefer Coke. The acidity and higher sodium content balances out the sweetness better than Pepsi does. Pepsi does better in a sip test, but when it comes to a full drink of soda, Coke wins.

A weird thing is that sometimes it's regional in the USA. For instance I was visiting Phoenix some years ago and really took some time going trough the heat just to find a place that sold Coke, that's a certified Pepsi town. In Atlanta it's a coke town, pretty much the entire eastern part of the USA is Coke.
The west coast is all messed up, they know it, we know it, and I avoid the place.
