Is anyone anticipating this? I heard from a st louis-based anon on here that it's dry. And in my opinion, whopper patties tend to be on the drier side to begin with (as compared to say a quarter pounder patty) which I violently dislike. I've had it from white castle and it was dry, didn't like it. I've had it from Red Robin, and it was nice and juicy. Why so much variation? Cost, I get that, but still. It's too much. Anyway, if it's anything like the white castle one, I'm considering it dropped before it even drops. Anyone else here try it already? Experiences?

No since 90 percent of the BKs have closed around me. Also fast food kind of blows in all honesty.

whoppers already taste like fecal patties sprayed with artificial smoke so I see no reason why the veggie burger wouldn't be equally appealing

I only started caring after I had the Red Robin one and was pleasantly surprised. The only difference you can taste is a slight aftertaste. But while you're biting into it, it's like an actual burger.

I'm pretty stoked because it means I'll finally be able to go to BK with my gf.
We recently went to white castle and had the impossible slider which she really liked. I still prefer the meat version but it's great to have an option for vegetarians.

>artificial smoke
But there isn't any. They use an actual flame broiler and the smoke probably comes from the juices/fat flaring a bit.

Whatever it is, I still don't like that taste. I guess that part is just subjective opinion. But that still doesn't address the fact that they often dry them out too much. Or when they don't, they tend to just taste "soggy" (i.e. with water) as opposed to "juicy" (i.e. with fat). But that's just my view of BK, as I've already expressed in the BK vs McD thread.

less salt and less saturated fat so while it may not be "healthy" it is a healthy alternative to an actual burger

>> No.12257878

>Why so much variation?

Impossible meat is even more sensitive to overcooking than real beef. Red Robin isn’t fine dining, but they do put more care in grillwork than White Castle for sure.

Dear god you guys are insufferable

But yes meat has peaked as we know it. I hope youre not too attached to it. Actually, my guess is that the shit meat will be the first to go. So unless you really need gas station slim jim, fake ass dunkin donut sandwiches, taco bell ground beef, all that good stuff - youll be fine.

Or you can eat both in moderation? The impossible burger tastes good, and indulging once in a while is not harmful, much like with actual burgers.

not super dry to me, honestly it tastes like every other whopper I've had. If there's any variation, it lies in the preparation, not the food itself

Eventually, the goal is for it to be cheaper
Right now, not enough people want to buy it to justify pumping out enough to make the price cheaper

But they should be at least the same price or cheaper if they really want to draw people in
