i used to be able to drink straight liquor when i started drinking until i got absolutely smashed one night on american dry gin and suffered massive poisoning. i can only stomach a few shots or one or two glasses of anything neat but i absolutely have to mix it in something if i want to drink more than that.

also i'm gay btw and i unironically fucking love cosmopolitans

>>12255998
>isn't it made with the house liqours?
yes, but then every cocktail in most low-mid range bars use the house gin/rum/vod/tequila for everything unless you specifically ask for say, a G&T made with a decent one like Bombay or Beefeater.

Yeah, if I'm going to the sports dive, it's beer or basic stuff with whatever they have on the rail. When I go to the good bar I'll usually either get whatever interesting special they have up on the board, or go for a martini:
Bombay Sapphire, twist of lemon, stirred.

The merengues came out like shit and my gf and I got into a fight that night so the crème brûlée’s never happened. I would have much rather had shit crème brûlée than shitty merengues. Cracked and deflated. Chewy but flavorful. I used half a vanilla bean and a little lemon juice.

I love gin very much and have been trying all kinds of combos but this is my favorite so far:
in a highball:
gin
cherry juice
sparkling water

balance as you like but should be around 3/4 oz gin with some ice cubes and fill the rest with about 70% juice 30% water

>>12260479
I would always ask for Bombay sap, or cazadores rep. for my tonic. I did vodka soda for a while but it just wasn’t ever worth the tab. I cut all that shit out anyways.

Now I make 10L of “go-go juice” at a time and that usually lasts until my next batch is ready to pull.

Benchmark 9. $9.99 per bottle, and while it's low shelf, it mixes great. No need to waste money on higher shit when you are cutting it. I started with Bulleit for my mules, now I go half the cost with the cheaper shit and it's just as good if not better. (Also depending on your location, Kroger has a ginger beer that's half the price of Goslings, and even spicier if that appeals to you).
