I've only gotten sick from food twice in my life, and both times were at "asian buffets".

It seems like a great deal, I mean the quality is shit, but its tasty and cheap. But you can't trust those places. The only asians that give a shit about food safety are the Japanese, and they aren't running these types of places.

You just can't go to the really cheap ones. I find that $8 lunch buffets are usually putting out old food more often, but once you go up to $12 or $13 there's usually a lot less problems.

It's just because a cheap buffet is more likely to be Asian. In my area most buffets are Chinese or Indian, and the Indian ones are more expensive. But I can still find good Asian buffets at a higher price. The "cheap" part is mostly the issue. You have to assume if you can go to a lunch buffet for $8 which is cheaper than most single meals at other restaurants that they're going to be cutting corners somewhere.

went to an all you can eat sushi place in richmond VA years ago with a couple of friends. we over ate and when we went back to one of their apartments to drink, the host puked immediately and passed out. the other friend and i drank for a few hours until the cheap fish worked its way on us and he got to the toilet befor eme so i puked in a trash can

This is one of the reasons you don't go to buffets where you aren't served by other people. Nicer buffets are more resistant to this shit, but buffets don't usually get that nice.

I'm no germophobe, but I don't need someone licking my food. That's the same as them going to the bathroom, not washing their hands, and touching it.

You don't go mouth to mouth unless you're really close friends or lovers.
