I'm sure he'll love it and it'll look wonderful for any kid in the party. Since you can't post a slice of it, I'll just talk about the decoration. The buttercream with creamcheese is a good choice, but you need to get an offset spatula. The frosting on the side is very uneven and you can see the cake in some parts, I'm guessing you used a spatula or spoon, an offset spatula would help you a lot. The piping at the edges is decent, but you need to practice on making them a little tighter and finish it seamlessly, that means not leaving a gap like you did, you can add a round dollop if you don't have room for another swirl, just don't leave a gap. The 5 spirals at the top look very uneven and with no definition, your buttercream was probably a little soft, you can add more sugar next time to make it stiffer, you'll get sharper shapes. the funfetti is a great idea and kids love it, but the way you sprinkled it looks very messy and detracts from it. If you wanted to use it, cut out a circle out of parchment paper, smaller than the cake, pour the funfetti around it so it packs tightly in ring around the cake and leaves your spirals looking cleaner. you could also have filled a plate with them, spinning the cake's lower corner onto it, so the funfetti sticks to the lower corner, making a ring on the cake's side. All in all gj, but you need some practice.
