Coastfags that can't cook and can only experience food through restaurants are destined not to enjoy trips to the South, as the bulk of the good eats wind up reserved for familial occasions. The influence of the South on food in the US is so pervasive that it's just part of the baseline, so there aren't any gimmicks to stand out when you go there.

I live in Key Largo, had cousins and regularly go shooting in Broward. Broward is more akin to Texas, not Dixie. Yeah they got hunting, horsin, and white folk smoking whole swine, but they're an isle of redneck purity among a sea of brown.
