Do you spruce up those $2 frozen pizza?
I use to sprinkle extra mozzarella, some salami/ham oil, Whatever
It's always crap. So I guess the secret lies in the dough.
Gotta be fresh, at hi temp

After you take it out of the packaging, wet the base of the pizza with water and let it soak in a bit. Then bake it on an oven rack or preheated tray. Wa la.

Buy fresh take and bake pizzas instead. Disregard cooking instructions. Heat your oven to 450 on convection or 500 if it doesn’t have a convection function. Use a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it’s heating up so the stone is hot when you put the pizza on it. Add fresh basil and pressed garlic. Bake until the crust is browned and the cheese is melted but only slightly browned. Sprinkle a little cayenne over it while it cools.

Anchovies, capers and olives go pretty well on frozen pizza

frozen pizza will always be less good because the base has to be sturdy to hold up to freezing, which makes the end product harder.

I add spices from my cupboard like coriander, habanero powder, curry (underrated, but swedes are on top something), garlic, onion, herbs, smoked paprika, etc. Then I add shredded parm, and fresh garlic.
