I want to work in the food/service/hotel industry but I'm also trying to be an athlete so I have training every evening for 2 hours, anyone know a job where I can manage both? right now I'm bartending late but it's no job you want to do forever

who in their right mind would want to work in the service industry

anyway go be a night janitor where no one watches you, here's a tip: night janitors spend half the night sleeping because cleaning is fucking easy. you could theoretically spend half your time exercising.

I worked at a resort in the banquets department for 2 years out of college. servers and bartenders make a killing but it's unionized so all of the shifts are given out based on seniority (the new people work late, people that had been there 20 years+ get morning shifts). if you're patient enough or lucky enough with people leaving you can make six figures refreshing buffets early in the morning.

banquet set-up (houseman was the title) tend to work earlier too with more flexibility and a smaller staff - you could start there.

Or you could be a 4chan janitor and do no work while also not exercising!

Look, man, as someone in the industry I'm not here to tell you not to work in the industry.
But you won't be able to work long term in the industry if you need to lose a couple hours out of every single evening. Evenings are the busiest, where the most money is to be made, and the most staff is needed.

You'll do a lot better to change your training time. If you're in the industry you have to have the right hours for it. I wouldn't hire someone that could not ever work evenings.

I'm a supervisor for a cleaning company. I have to chase these lazy cocksuckers around the building to make sure they do their job. But you're right. Half the night the workers are smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee. We pay them accordingly.

Well, I question your career choice but any decent sized apartment or condo block will have a gym for residents. If you can finagle your way into gaining access after your shift, you might be satisfied.
Or you could commute on foot to wherever you work and do cardio there and back, keep some mats and dumbbells at home.
Or get a membership at a 24 hour gym, which you could've done already as a bartendie.

You just have to put primary importance on your main concern and let everything else come second..

You shouldnt have to be a slave.. I used to be in a similar spot and i was kinda dumb so i thought i would work my ass off at work.. BIG MISTAKE.. I turned into a fucking doormat for peanuts.. My non-white co-workers did what they do best.. stopped working and claimed it was because i made them not want to work because i wasnt stroking the egos or some bullshit..

You just need to put social norms second and your job.. Its a very crisis-oriented spot and you would need to put an enormous amount of thought into how to manage it...

This is what athletes and fitness people in the past had to do.. except the businessman who jogs...

Nowadays people dont do that.. they dont use their brain.. Fuck those people.. NEVER LISTEN TO THEM BEFORE LISTENING TO YOURSELF.

Catering, duh.

You don't have to try to be an athlete. You either are or you aren't.
