Vlasic are the best of store brand. Claussen are pretty good too. Your best bet, though, is probably going to your local market and getting homemade pickles (shits yummy)

claussen is one of the only cold-brewed pickles on the freemarket in america. they have different bacteria at different temps of pickling, and these tasty little niggers got that good bacteria

Correct. It must be whole pickles, not cut up ones.
Pickles are my go-to guilty latenight snack since I can convince myself they are at least not as fattening as a bowl of pasta or a hamburger.

These are one of the best store bought. Been meaning to try making some spicy ones once cucumbers go on sale.

Make your own anon, it's incredibly easy and cheap
>aquire cukes
>cut off ends
>put in large crock, bucket or jar
>toss in some peppercorns
>several cloves of garlic
>3 bay leaves per gallon
>1 head of dill per gallon
>pinch of red pepper
>submerge everything in a 5% brine
>in 5 days jar and refrigerate, they can be eaten any time

you have to admit the materials for making pickles are pretty obscure and specialized.
>jar
>water
>salt
>cucumber
>something like a ziploc bag full of rice to keep the cucumbers submerged
all in all you're looking at about $150 but subsequent runs will be about $100 each
