This will freak a lot of you people out but with a little bit of butter I mix in a chicken powder packet from ramen noodles then shake it up real good. It tastes great.
Those who doubt me should try it out sometime and see and taste the light.

>Hey guys what do you top your popcorn with besides butter?
I snip dried ancho chilies into skinny rings/strips.
I saute the chili strips in a little olive oil in a small nonstick til darkened and crisped. Remove from heat and pour over red chili flavored oil and chili rings on top of popcorn. Grind of sea salt. I might also grate some key lime or lime zest, but not always. I get 1 ring with each handful of popcorn, hot and a bit roasty smoky, but not too hot, anchos are mild. If you don't mind the wetness, a little lime juice isn't bad.

In a movie theatre, I sometimes toss my Reese's pieces into the popcorn. I have a friend who adds free jalapeno rings, and the juice into her popcorn, which is tastier than it sounds. The liquid kind of dries since movie theatre popcorn is so dry.

Orville (I think is the brand) sells a "caramel popcorn" that has a slab of soft caramel you lay on top of the just opened microwave popcorn, which then melts. I pour over some salted mixed nuts right before the caramel, and some seneca apple chips, and the extra caramel makes a bit of a Fiddle Faddle experience, only hot and salty-sweet.

It’s a Mexican spice mix mostly consisting of chili powder, dried lime zest, and sea salt that’s made for sprinkling on fresh fruit like mango, watermelon, kiwi, ect. It’s also good on all kinds of shit like tacos, quesadillas, fish, eggs, and even popcorn. Here’s my bottle with bonus chopsticks.
