What does Dune spice taste like? How would you use it in your cooking?

First, you need to get into the 1960s mindset of 'sci-fi is super serious philosophical business' and forget Star Wars

Rookie mistake. Audiobook the first and call it a day. Youtube the rest of the lore if you give enough of a damn. And the spice tastes like boozy paprika nutmeg btw.

cinnamon but sharper. this is described very clearly multiple times in the books. it's used often in coffee and sweets.

In my imagination it would taste like cinnamon and clove with a hint of nutmeg. I think it would be nice in desserts, cofffee, chocolate dishes, roasted meat dishes, and cream based sauces. It would probably be nice to roll into a cigarette or cigar to smoke with a glass of whisky.

You have a low attention span. Sorry. The first couple books at least are really fun. Try putting away electronic media for a week.

first book is best book i ever read, second was worst book i ever read
so if you don't like the first, it is unlikely you will like the second

It's not a spice though, the spice in dune is drugs.
Also the movie is meh, book is ok, both the first games are clunky but great.

Based and Dunepilled. At most, listen to the second book aswell but know that it gets weird and is inferior.
There's a dramatized audiobook version out there for book one, featuring multiple voice actors and some background sfx. I enjoyed that version.

Maybe try Audiobookbay.nl.

Nope. The first is the best one. They're not much good at all after the third.

But audiobooks take longer than reading.

which character is this? Irulan? DOesn't look human to me.

the audiobook will likely be more productive on a first reading. really helps with the nuance.

When I was a little kid I saw it in a movie theatre, my friend and I were both tripping out at the time. They handed out these translation sheets which you just read through real quick.
After the movie I bought the book and read right thought it, the movie gives you a baseline but the book itself adds more depth. The 2nd the further books I thought were pretty boring. It would probably help if you watched the original movie first in letterbox format, then go for the book again.

Yes, Princess Irulan.
