>go to my local Dari Mart
>see the hot mama jar only has a couple sausages left
>buy entire container
>take it home and fill it with chopped onion and boiled eggs
>let it sit for a week and a half
Who here /picklin/ ?!

>> No.11954212

Sounds pretty based if I do say so myself. I love all things pickled.

I've done that sort of stuff myself but with chile peppers in leftover pickling juice. It turned out pretty well.

That's a plastic container, wouldn't that be a problem? I think glass would work better.

In all seriousness, I've never eaten those. Are they worth trying? Sounds like a weird part to eat.

It's mostly cartilage like chicken feet but with a bit more meat. They're a staple in backwater small redneck bars.

Just prepped me a jar full today. I let them sit in the fridge for at least a week before eating them.

I make my own atjar tjampoer and pickles. Sadly last year my pickle harvest was very disappointing but I got some beautiful jars from my mother in law. I don't always like her but she makes godlike pickles all from her own harvest

if you use the WEB for recipes you'll see a billion ways to cook the eggs so they will peel easily

Right now I've got a stonefruit (peach and plum) vinegar on, some pickled plums and two mixed jars of grandma pickles (cauliflower, green beans and carrots fried quickly in tumeric oil and pickled). Also have a jar of pickled cabbage and cucumber.
Probably going to make some kimchi tomorrow, gonna char the hell out of some scallions and add them to it.

Unless it's fish I'm not too big on pickled meat. But to each their own.
