I assume you meant fats, which are a kind of lipid, and not cholesterol which is part lipid part protein.

Trans fats (Specifically the most common variation, artificial trans fats or "hydrogenated fats"): Studies consistently show them increasing your chance of contracting all manner of disease. They are found in some fake butters and most deep-fat fryers, they taste great and are more convenient than other fats to re-use, also they spoil slower than other fats making them ideal for packaged products. If you mostly eat store-bought or fast food in America, you are eating a lot of this kind of fat and are a strong candidate for heart disease, cancer, and/or diabetes.

Saturated fats => no double-bonded carbons on this bad boy: making its molecular structure straight, stack-able, and therefore easy to clump together. Saturated fats are solid at room temp and put you at a higher risk for plaque build-up in your blood. Mostly found in animal products like dairy and meat.

Both saturated and trans fats will increase your LDL or "scary bad evil whoopsie" cholesterol, and should be avoided if you have a genetic predisposition to heart disease or strokes. You really shouldn't be eating any trans fats, and you should keep saturated fats to less than 10% of your daily calories.

unsaturated fats => Some of these can't be made in the body but you still need them to survive these include omega-3 and 6 fats, others are just safer alternatives to saturated fats e.g. olive oil/ peanut oil/ nuts.

Eggs/bacon is pretty much entirely saturated fats (in terms of lipids) and if this is the only saturated fat anon is eating today, he's absolutely fine. A single egg is more than half of your daily recommended cholesterol but it doesn't significantly raise your LDL, so not too much to worry about. Eating a few eggs(3) every day is just fine for cholesterol.

how many people live in your town? 30k here and we have multiple places to get meat. You don't have to go to a butcher. hell, just go to the meat counter and ask.

>3 eggs a day is just fine
Lol it skyrockets LDL and down regulates HDL functioning. It absolutely raises LDL far more than HDL. That’s probably anywhere between 500-600 mgs of cholesterol, almost entirely LDL. The additional saturared fat from the bacon and almost certainly the butter its being cooked in (not to mention LDL) will further increase LDL and oxidize it as well

Not really worth it to me when I can buy 3 pounds for $12, already prepped and ready to cook.

The truth is that the science is fishy as fuck on nutrition since it's hard to test scientifically on humans and animal tests are worthless. In the meantime a good bet is to assume that the most unprocessed and unaltered food is the least harmful. Humans have been eating eggs since forever and they're remained relatively the same so I'll keep chomping them down.
