In N Out is actually pretty affordable, or at least it was last time I went to California. The other two are really overpriced tho (good, but overpriced)

Steak n shake. I'd try shake shack but it's not near me. In and out looks ok but not around me and 5 guys is overpriced af for what I can make better at home. Steak n shake offers good deals on decent food. 4 dollars will get you a triple cheeseburger fries cookie and a cup of chili or Cole slaw.

Okay, and I love their fries, but it's too pricey for what it is.

Steak n shake also never close. I go there late around 3 am and some local guys bring their wives to the steak n shake for a Lil steak n shake if you know what I mean. We fuck them in the bathroom and eat cheeseburgers. Me and these 3 black dudes who work there fuck them and shove cheeseburgers up their wives asses and eat cheeseburgers. I always wear a condem to prevent loose hamburger meat from getting in my pee hole. It happened once! I think steak n shake provides a clean 50s aesthetic and Fucking a fat 45 year old woman on the tile floor of its bathroom while eating delicious food burgers doesn't seem as gross as it probably should. For 1 dollar more you can add bacon to your burger and they have decent quality made to order food so the bacon is great and worth the extra dollar. I've also ate Frisco melts in between sessions and the Frisco patty melt is quite delectable with its zesty sauce. I haven't even mentioned the shakes which are really good. I like the cinnamon cereal shake

Never been, no comment
>Five Guys
Grossly overpriced, adequate quality
>In N Out
Very cheap, above average quality

This is assuming you're eating at the best location each chain has to offer, In N Out is particularly inconsistent (Santa Barbara is dogshit, Palm Springs is God tier)

You can't compare In n Out to the other two. The other two are like >$12 for a burger, fries, and drink.

In n Out is ~$7 for the same.

The only stake n shake in town is staffed by a bunch of lazy assholes, so it can take an hour to get your food at 3am when there's only five people in the store. The next closest one is better buy 45 minutes away.

If I had to rank

INO > WB > SS > SnS > 5G
Five Guys really isn't that good to me. It's a big burger, yes, but the bun is always soggy and the fries, are typically flopping around.

>> No.11879060

I've had shake shack once, pretty good but it's 'trying too hard' in a good way though.
Five guys is okay but it's a soggy mess because it's wrapped in foil and the moisture gets trapped on the bun and I'm biased because they've messed up my order three out of the four times I've been so fuck that.
In-n-out is pretty average but for what you pay it's worth it.

Burger and Fries are god tier and great price. I love getting it any time I travel. If one was nearby me it might beat out Shake Shack.

>Smashburger

As others have noted, In-N-Out is regarded as well as it is because of their low costs. Five Guys is priced almost to the point of a sit-down restaurant like Red Robin and I'd almost rather go there and get slightly higher quality food. In-N-Out is at least as good as five guys if not better for nearly half the price. Unless you're eating off the value menu, INO also kicks the shit out of the industry tops like Burger King/McDonald's in quality AND price. The only thing that keeps me from going there literally every time I want a burger is it's location as well as the fact that it's almost always slammed because everyone knows this and outside of LA or Sacramento you're only going to find one In-N-Out every 60-100 miles or so.

Props to INO though, they burn through their drive-thru lines like nobody else. I've seen 20-car lines at INO get busted out in the time it took one of my friends to get his food from Carl's Jr down the road when he was literally the only person in the drive thru.

Part of this is just the fact that they do everything that McDonald's USED to do when McDonald's first opened. Extremely limited menu with only a handful of variables, simple cooking and assembly methods, and they staff the stores full to bursting so you have one dude on every station at all times. They're just super efficient and super simple so they're fast, cheap, and high quality all at the same time.

Five Guys has literally the worst burgers I've ever eaten. Like who the fuck thought it was a good idea to dip their burgers in water before selling them? Because that's how they taste like.

I used to work at INO and you're pretty much spot on, except for one thing, we actually had very few people staffed for the business we get, at least late at night in my opinion. If you want to see some pro fuckin In N Out employees, come in at the 10:30 PM stoner rush.
I can attest to the fact that the quality is restaurant tier. Multiple company inspections every month, extremely high standards for food preparation, efficiency etc. What is known as QFC (Quality, Friendliness, Cleanliness) is pushed super hard.

while each 3 chains are delicious, In N' Out wins largely for the fact that a double double combo costs around $7, where as the other two are at least $11-12
you just cant beat the taste and quality at that price.

I mean you can buy a house for like $10k in a lot of places. It'll be a shithole, but you can say you're a homeowner. My brother in law paid like 30 grand for his house and it's pretty livable. Definitely old and has some problems, but I've seen a lot of apartments that are worse.
