This is my thread now.

What type of pasta goes the farthest when making a dish to feed a large group of people?

ravioli is pretty filling. Highly recommend butternut squash, lobster and basil/ricotta filling.

I've never prepared ravioli before. Is it easy to fuck up?

It's not so much the pasta as the types of dishes that suit each shape. Long, thin noodles typically go in dishes that just have pasta + sauce, so it takes per person to make a decent serving. Dishes with orecchiette, farfalle, penne, ziti etc. often have many more ingredients in the dish so you can get by with less pasta.

Is this just a pasta dinner? Will you have sides? Is it potluck in nature or will everything be provided? Take those into consideration before deciding which route you want to take.

No. There is a ceiling to how much protein is useful to your body, you can not rely on pills for vitamins, and malnutrition is more seriously detrimental to your health than is having a bit of fat reserve.

130 g of protein isn't too much if you lift and you weigh under 70 kg/155 lbs. That pic is from /fit/.

Yes, also time consuming. Terrible idea for a large group. Just make a giant lasagne or something.

You would get a ton of nutritional deficiencies. If it's just about preserving muscle mass whey protein is the superior protein anyway.

It's a potluck-style thing for work. I'd like it to feed a good number of people, while also not making myself look like a cooklet.

Probably Raviloli since it's stuffed with something. That said I often see Rigatoni or Ziti done in big batches, maybe Penne.

Bake some Ziti. Super easy, great for potlucks.

His point about protein is moot because at 650 calories his muscle would still melt off, not to mention various nutritional deficiencies.
>>11835831
your body can easily absorb more than 130 g of protein in a day
