This stuff is good on everything, really. It's fruity and floral and fairly hot, especially the BEWARE sauce. It's extremely fresh tasting. Really and truly a great hot sauce.

I put hot sauce on anything that I've gotten "bored" of. I live a lone and make big meals, so by the end of the longevity, I usually toss some hotsauce on it to make it more interesting.

I’ve been trying to make my own recently, they’re really tough to balance. I’ve made 2 fermented (one all jalapeño and one a mix of hab and cayenne with some onion and carrot in both) and 2 fresh with vinegar (peach and habanero and a cayenne style vinegar sauce). Only the jalapeño one turned out really tasty, the rest were all mediocre to kind of weird tasting. I’m not sure if I just don’t like the taste of habaneros or what because it’s kinda off to me. I have one finishing fermenting now, it’s gonna be a 6 month and it’s all hab with some tomato I think? Anyway it’ll be interesting.

My favorite brand was this cayenne sauce called NOLA from Cajohns. It had a real nice even heat and was just tasty on pizza and eggs. I’d also add some to chili and other hot soups to add a nice kick instead of some red pepper.

Hard to imagine where I would ever use tobasco outside burritos or fajitas. The smokey flavor would be shitty on tenders or tacos. I use Tapatio since it has a pretty universal flavor that goes with everything and and not-too-intense spice. Just ate some frozen burritos with it.

I prefer The Last Dab Reduxx™, the only hot sauce for TRUE spicelords! But I'm almost out, since I like to 'dab' along to every new episode of Hot Ones. This coming week should be a spicy one, as season 8 will be kicked off with celebrity guest Gordon Ramsay.

I cant find the Louisiana habanero sauce anymore, and it was the only sauce I know of that way only habanero, vinegar, and salt. Everything else is cut with other peppers, or worse, carrots and onions and shit.

Are there any more pure habanero sauces out there?

hundreds of them. just google habanero sauces. If the big names are cluttering up your search results then exclude them, e.g. "habanero hot sauce -tabasco"

How so? Most BBQ sauces are thick and sweet, while chipotle tabasco has minimal sweetness and isn't thick.

You're welcome to like whichever hot sauces you like, anon. I just find it weird that you said the original has a smoky flavor when there's nothing smoked in it.

I'm not sure if this stuff is regional but it's delicious. The habanero one is the best IMO. It's not really a traditional hot sauce, it's very garlicky (it comes from Gilroy, garlic capital of the US) and a little chunky. Goes great on eggs, potatoes, and vegetables

>> No.11777803

>>11777753
the chipotle tabasco isn't thick like traditional bbq sauce, but it is a bit thicker than traditional tabasco. and ya, chipotle tabasco isn't sweet at all, but it depends on what kind of bbq sauce we are comparing it to. i find it to taste like a more spicy/vinegary bbq sauce. not the traditional kansas city style. it's just not what i think a hot sauce should be. also... i never said the original has a smokey flavor.. i'm not too sure where you got that from.

the "chunky garlic" version actually has far too much garlic if you ask me. I've never tried the chipotle one. The California Pepper one is not spicy at all, and is very garlic forward - it's more of a flavor booster than a hot sauce. Delicious on potatoes and vegetables.
The Habanero one is the best and most versatile one. Spicy and garlicky.
