>nastiest smelling farts for the rest of the day
I try to avoid eating it. Anyone else?

Go vegan and after ten or fifteen years taste will be the least of your worries

Look up that recipe for brining a carrot so it turns into hotdog texture. All over youtube.

Used this in a baked rice dish I made for a vegetarian friend and it was honestly pretty good. Would have hardly known it wasn't real chorizo.

Given what real chorizo is made of (thymus glands) I'll go for the vegan version.

isn't there a fuckload of spice as well?
I've had cauliflower tacos and they were pretty similar to regular ones

What’s wrong with thymus glands? They’re delicious.

chop up some of those chorizo ones and fry with mushrooms and spinach and you got some damn-good scrambled eggs. I use the italian ones for pasta sometimes, they're quite nice.

Agreed, became a vegetarian in October and this was the best "imitation" food out of everything I've tried so far. The breakfast sandwich with the fake sausage is pretty good too

Those are good. The hot dogs are good, too.

Black bean burgers are okay. That said, if you're vegan you're way better off eating anything but meat substitutes. There are plenty of good meals you can make without meat, why settle for a shitty imitation of the thing you gave up?

Because you miss it, obviously.

There are a variety of reasons for that ranging from ethical to health concerns. Or maybe you just want to eat hot dogs and chorizo all the goddam time and realize that will kill you, so you eat the vegan versions often in hopes of avoiding that.

Sweetbread is unironically fucking delicious and if you disagree you're a tastelet. Which dosent even matter since chorizo is made of spices pork fat and trimmings, like most sausages.

I actually served these (oven baked) to a group of drunk guests and never told them it wasn’t chicken. I ended up serving a round two.

1 - https://www.quorn.co.uk/products/all - This is far and away the best on the planet, nothing else comes anywhere close

2 - https://lindamccartneyfoods.co.uk/our-food/frozen-range/ - The pick of the bunch is the regular sausages, which I have given to meat eaters who told me they couldn't tell the difference between these, and those made with the rotting flesh of decaying carcasses.

3 - https://www.boojabooja.com/dairy-free-ice-cream/ - I can't speak of their other products, but the ice cream is outstanding.
