How do I stop/reduce my drinking problem? I drink 300ml of vodka every night now and I feel like i'm wasting my money.

What worked for me was disrupting the behavior pattern by cutting out certain days entirely. Even just not drinking a couple days a week, starting with Tuesday and Thursday, turned into not drinking at all on weeknights and severely cutting back weekend drinking. Was never to the regular pint of vodka stage but I could tell it was negativity affecting my life so was important to stop.

I feel you brah, I used to drink a handle every 2 or 3 nights. If you can't hold yourself accountable then tell a loved one to check your shit from time to time. Barring that go to an actual AA meeting and get a sponsor. If you're religious at all tell your priest about it and get some guidance. If you can not do it yourself, there's no shame in asking for help.
Also this might not be the healthiest advice but try out Kratom/weed or some other easygoing substances if you're bored out of your mind and fiending. Do some shit you enjoy truly. Jerk off. Think of your loved ones and the pain you'd put them through if you hurt yourself or them through your addiction.
If you start to go thru withdrawals upon stopping, it's smartest to go to the hospital, but in lieu of that pick up some l-theanine and b vitamins, drink lots of electrolytes too. The l-theanine helps with the anxiety/feeling of doom/shakes.

Alcohol addiction is fucking horrible. I really hope you pull through this man, don't end up like how I did.

Meditation can still work. Meditate in the evening when you feel the urge to drink. Also you can drink milky, sugary coffees if you need a boost.

I never found this to work. When you're seriously alcoholic then the conscience in your brain is automatically switched off by the alcohol dependency. Any rational part of your thinking is almost entirely automatically censored.

I just switched from a night shift job to a day shift job and I have so much free time in the afternoon. I don't know what to do. I like the free time but I'm drinking more than ever.
It's also fucked up my eating patterns.
What do people eat for daytime lunch meals that don't require a microwave? Preferably leftovers.

I can’t really even recommend eating well, just figure out a way to bust your ass doing something and keep it up. Once you have managed to do something like that, through willpower, you can manage 250, 200, 150, 100, but the real question is always can you 0 and for how long? But even then a few months here and there can make a real difference.

I just joined a gym and dicked around there when I felt like drinking. By time I got home I was hungry, ate, and one drink felt good not like shit. I just stopped completely after a while.
