I really FUCKING HATE German cuisine. It's expected that you eat some form of "Brotzeit" (slice/s of bread with stuff on top, normally meat) at LEAST once a day. Cooked meals aren't something you should expect every day either, or even more than 3-4 times a week for that matter. You're supposed to be content with just eating some fucking bread buns and slices of bread with meat and maybe a kind of sandwich spread. It's fucking awful.

The few foods we do have here are all stolen from the countries that have actual cuisine. Italian and French shit make up at least 50% of common meals.

I want to make decent meals with a good variety of different ingredients and nutrients, but everyone I talk to about this thinks it's an extravagant waste of money to cook a meal every day, let alone anything that isn't rice/pasta/potatoes with sauce and meat (this is almost every single """meal""" we have here)

Why the fuck do you care what others are doing? I eat bread almost exclusively for breakfast and just 2-3 time a week. Just cook as often and eat what ever you like.
