Does msg really cause brain damage?

>> No.11696134

You'd have to have brain damage to think that in the first place.

I'm not a huge fan of Ranch, but I love working in a place that offers it, because people have no idea what's actually in it, so you're constantly seeing people who would never eat at a Chinese restaurant that doesn't have a "no MSG" sign in the window, claim they hate mayo, and ask for shit unsalted. Guess what, retards? Ranch is 50% mayo, and the first two ingredients in the seasoning mix are salt and MSG. It's literally a trifecta of picky eater filters and yet only the biggest tastelets love it.

Have you ever met a picky eater? That's about the only thing you can count on them to eat. They're going to turn down actual food like non-root vegetables.

that's because you work in a shit hole
the good ranch is mafe from scratch with buttermilk sour cream and fresh herbs spices and aromatics
your ranch is garbage m8

Fucking cringe. Only places like Chicago make ranch from scratch, because they want to seem haute cuisine but literally only know flyover shit. Garbage ranch comes out of a bottle, real ranch is what OP posted. Do you also make your own Frank's RedHot for your buffalo sauce? You realize you're literally putting lipstick on a pig, right? And yes, I used "literally" correctly there, because you're probably having sex with livestock if you think something like ranch or ketchup is something anyone asked for or wants to pay extra for.

no you moron

those "brain damage" studies literally injected mice with pure MSG, its not realistic in the slightest

you'll get the same results with normal table salt

MSG is not toxic or anything, but it did contribute to a health problem and I had to cut way back.
Having high blood pressure sucks. I was above 190 for god knows how long and it kinda fucked me up.

Yeah it causes Alzheimer's. That's why people who eat a lot of street food are kind of dull. Ignore all the msg shills. You're health is more important than some flavor.

>Having high blood pressure

you dont even need MSG, sodium will do that to you

>> No.11696324

>>11696313
For whatever reason, MSG cause my blood pressure to spike much more than normal salt. Gram for gram, MSG has less sodium too, because glutimate ion is heavier than chlorine. Dont know why but a tasty MSG laced meal would skyrocket my blood pressure more than equally seasoned food with salt.
Not even hating on MSG, Im still a big fan. But now I have to measure carefully and use less.

Wrong

And wronger.

>> No.11696340

MSG is a salt of sodium and glutamate, an amino acid. Glutamate and glutamine, which is very closely related to glutamate, play vital roles in your body. Neither sodium nor glutamate/glutamine will cause brain damage in moderate amounts.
