I've never eaten or cooked fried rice.
Is it worth it? Give me a quick rundown and how-to.

put rice and water in pan, 2 parts water for 1 part rice
cook until done (not too mushy but edible)
its an amazing base for stuff that u dont know what to put in, like soups and side dish to your chili

Cook the rice the night before.
Store it in the fridge.
Fry that same rice up the next day.
Will be PERFECT.
Also eggs and chicken are needed.

You just put some in your mouth, chew it into a paste, and swallow.

it's best to use only leftover rice (like a day in the fridge), and beyond standard stuff like ham/bacon, peas or egg you should definitely throw in some sesame oil, soy sauce and maybe some garlic paste. I don't remember the quantities cause i just throw shit in till i think it's good. Sesame oil is best.

are you from Mars or something? even african cuisine has fried rice

>> No.11681556

first get some frozen peas and carrots and heat them up in the microwave
scramble some eggs, cook until they are barely solid then take them out
oil, day old rice, fry till it's like halfway to the texture you want
re-add the eggs, fry it combined
at the very end pour in the peas and carrots and stir em in

What's the best kind of rice to use for frying?
Jasmine?
Japanese short grain?

2 parts water to 1 part rice by level, not volume. cover loosely, microwave high for 11 mins. perfect rice everytime.

The ingredients you should use are entirely dependent on what style of fried rice you're trying to make.

As another anon said, fried rice is made all over the world and varies greatly from place to place, so you need to be specific.

Sage for a shit thread.
