the xxx is amazing, especially for those who don't like vinegar sauces. i've never had the black reserve one, and all the rest are shit, outside of the chipotle, which is good despite a vague chemical taste. either way, based.

pic related is the best hot sauce on the planet. it is very hot, but has no extract, and is just perfect. it is peppers first, but has amazing flavor. their entire line is pretty good

I didn't know there was this many varieties, I only ever see 2 or 3 at my market.

>>11671457
This looks like that failed kickstarter one that came up around last year, I know it's not, but still funny. I'll have to try it.
Any recommendations on what's good with it?

>> No.11671492

>>11671475
yeah i know. i like it on a fruit-based ice cream and i like it on pancakes. outside of that, i like it on a spoon. it is really very hot, and im not trying to sound like some kind of asshole, but i do like a spoon of it instead of using it as a condiment. it really is a sauce that can be ruined by food

>> No.11671514

Sweet Bhuty used to be around, that stuff was the shit! My go to is Tabasco or homemade ghost pepper infused in everclear

This one is damn awesome but the guy stopped making it. I even callled him up and asked why he stopped, he explained to me how much a production run costs. From what he explained it's pretty expensive and not to be taken lightly.

wanted to buy it because i thought it was a chocolate bhutlah-based sauce
nobody has called the ghost pepper a bhut jolokia in many years and im sick of this shit. it's not nearly the hottest pepper. it used (badly) in branding all over the world and it is shit. the ghost pepper is not the hottest pepper. it is time to change the branding.

good golly that is ripping off dave's gourmet logo badly
dave's has never made a single good product so im all for it, but jesus

Ghost pepper shit tastes like indian chemicals like from bhopal or some shit. Up your game and go for Carolina Reapers or Trinidad Scorpians. That indian shit sucks dick.

I think Captn Sleepy in Florida preceeded Dave's who was and is nothing but a copycat hack.

I like using Crystal or Texas Pete. Crystal tastes more natural but I like the consistency of Texas Pete.

it shouldn't
out of the superhots, the ghost pepper has the best flavor (and lowest heat). at least to me. above it, you get bitter and perfumey more often than not. im not talking citrus bitter just full-on bitter. pic related i sauteed with garlic and oil for garnish and they were bitter as a motherfucker, despite my having grown them with the utmost care and strict organics. the ghost pepper is genuinely tasty. i suggest you try them dehydrated to get a better sense of the flavor

We have to agree to disagree, the best for flavor and heat are chocolate habaneros, all native to the Americas. The stinks from india had nothing to do with it.

ghost peppers from that shithole by the ganges are nothing but a genetic manipulation.

The only reason that you shitstains still spout ghost peppers are 20 year old shows from the fool aka food network.

that was a shit-tier pic related, sorry
pic related is sliced carolina reapers seared up in olive oil. it's best to do them first and set them aside and then do your onions/garlic/peppers separate and then toss them in briefly. cooking them removes a lot of the heat but they remain extremely hot.
>>11671578
no, they naturally occur. no crossbreeding or anything.
>>11671573
ive never had a chocolate hab. looks delicious

>> No.11671618

They don't occur naturally in india. All peppers, capsicums are native to the Americas.

The choco habs are great but difficult to find. There's a very small and sliding window to get them, it varies with the season. I started a new job once and instead of going out with them for lunch went and bought chocolate habaneros, I buy enough in a couple weeks to fill my freezer then have enough for the year.

My bro did this and it was fantastic! It had a tang to it, sort of a vinegar thing going on. I was very impressed.

>> No.11672714

I like Texas Pete more than Franks. Louisiana Hot Sauce is good, strong vinegar taste though if you don't like it.

I used Franks for years, remember when it was Durkee's? But I have recently switched back to tabasco- It has more flavor depth and heat.
