/b/ sent me here for good ramen noodle pimping recipes. Anyone got any?

>> No.11641608

Literally saw your post and came here lol. I usually just add garlic salt and some Frank's red hot to mine and its pretty damn good.

garlic(minced)
thai chili(minced)
egg
heat up oil. put the garilc and thai chili, wait until aromatic. put in the egg, then scrambled it in the pan. pour water and when it's boiling, throw in the ramen and the seasoning. Move to the plate when it's already half cooked, else it will be too soggy when you eat it.

Soft-boiled chicken egg, or sunny side chicken egg, I personally prefer soft-boiled, since it's not greasy for instant noodles which are already greasy.

OP if you want to discuss ramen at least post how you usually eat it, just requesting shit could get your thread deleted.

Garlic salt is an abomination that does not deserve to call itself "garlic". It's like calling "white pepper" pepper.

Make a poor man's yakisoba. Saute some cabbage/onions/carrots/daikon with a little garlic, vegetable and sesame oil while you boil water. Let the noodles boil for no more than one minute, strain, then toss them in with just a dash of fish sauce, soy sauce, and a generous amount of something like ponzu to finish it off (I usually make a sauce of of ketchup, chili paste, worsterchire, and a dash of lemon). Toss the noodles and a few green onion slices, and stir fry a couple of minutes on medium heat till the sauce coats the noodles and veggies. Don't overdo it, the noodles are already fried. Add more soy sauce or whatever else to taste, and wa la!

You can add meat into the mix at the start, too.

>> No.11641781

>>11641735
Cook the meat first, derpface. Those noodles are called "instant" for a reason. Either brown it first in a pan and add it right before the noodles, or just toss it in first with the spice mix and let it cook before you do the ramen. Egg cooks faster than meat, but do that before the noodles, too.

>> No.11641786

>>11641770
Oh I also forgot to add that when I add the noodles to the wok or pan, I'll add maybe half a tsp more of sesame oil to the noodles to keep them from sticking in the pan.

Great stuff, we have it around here in Germany too. Sadly, it costs 1€ ($1.15) which makes it pretty expensive compared to home cooking and it isn't even that filling. You are usually better off with pimping your own Ramen, but even then you blow 0.55€ on a pack and some 0.20€ on the pimping ingrediences. Still very expensive compared to just making a stock and pimping that one.

>mre's
When you spend a little over 2 weeks or up to a month on nothing but mre's you learn to appreciate good ones.
Meal-kit-supply is one of the best civilian mre's. Norwegian army has some real fucking nice mre's (fuckin reindeer soup).

Okay, I need this answered because my girlfriend once caught me doing this and I never realized how stupid it was.
We were hanging out at my place and I wanted a quick bite to eat. I opened up some Maruchan in a cup and since I don't like the terrible dried out vegetables I throw them out. But by god do I make sure to get them all because I will slap the dried ramen out to get them from the sides and below (I save any protein by putting it on a napkin to add in once I'm done). In addition, I then open up my fridge and ADD my own peas, carrots, and corn because I think the texture is better with fresh or frozen veggies. Been doing this since I was a kid and didn't pay attention to her watching me the whole time only to be greeted with a "Whaaat are you doing!?" We comfortably poked fun at each other all the time but at the moment it hit me like a noodle in my nose.

That’s fine. Women love overreacting over stuff like this that their boyfriends do. Listen to advice podcasts (actually for your sanity, don’t) and 75 percent of the “questions” sent in are just women screeching about the barely-out-of-the-ordinary things their men do.
