Titos is good, it used to be better and less expensive when it first came out but I guess thats nit picking.

>> No.11627018

>>11626709
The thing about tito's was that was some decent respectable vodka made in the USA so was less expensive then same level import vodka since no import taxes had to be levied on it. As Titos got more popular is also became more expensive so they crossed that line, Svedka is just as good if not better and less expensive and it's imported from Sweden. It's funny how the worm turns so to speak.

Devil's Springs New Jersey vodka. It's not bad ya know and the high is really clear. I've only found this at one place in New York, some liquor store just south of Madison Square Garden.

Pretty jealous. My house is very old and they put in a gas oven instead of stove. Sucks because I just use a toaster oven. I'd much rather have the stove be gas.

The power went out in the restaurant I cook at one time right in the middle of the dinner rush and we had to keep cooking using the flashlights on our phones. Wasn't fun.

Nope. Last place had an electric stove, and I bought an induction when I moved (no gas hookups, didn't want to deal with that). Last time there was a power outage it only lasted one night, and even then it was after supper. If I hadn't eaten yet I'd probably just slap together some snack plates of meat and cheese, or make deviled ham sandwiches and drink.

Only time I've had a gas stove was when I was living in the middle of the desert, and I'm not sure I'd have noticed even if there was a power outage.

yes. i was making some orzo on friday and my power went out. fortunately, i am also gas stove master race so i was able to finish it. had to toast my bread on the stove though because the oven temperature is controlled electronically.

>> No.11629214

>>11628980
Same here with the electronically controlled gas stove. Have to sauté the garlic instead of roasting it in the oven.

Agreed. Plus there are like a billion Texas vodkas now. I hear Western Son is the new best value, haven't had that one yet but have had Enchanted Rock, Dripping Springs and Deep Eddy of course. I actually buy Jorvik from Kansas currently because it's 9-11 bucks a handle at the local package stores.

I do enjoy myself a Deep Eddy John Daly, equal parts of their lemon and sweet tea vodkas on the rocks with a splash of water. Great summer drink.

You still have to recognize Titos for being the pioneer in the Texas distilling scene. I'll have it when it's on special at Twin Peaks on Wednesdays.
