Sugar isn't as bad as the other anons are treating it, the problem is insulin sensitivity. Personally I don't have a problem with sugar because processed sugar is so 1-dimensional in flavor unlike fruit which has fiber so all the sugar isn't absorbed. Depends on your body shape, how much you work out, how much sietary fiber you consume and how sensitive your intestines are to augar in terms of creating a rot box... Generally speaking, avoid added sugar that amounts to more than 12g per meal regardless of how much you "move" (for your gut's sake).

For diabetes type 2 reasons there are other factors on top of the ones already mentioned to consider.
