Knife and fork is better than spoon. Spoon can't do anything knife and fork can't do.

I really enjoy spoons to be honest.
Forks are alright, but spoons are better.
Better for rice based dishes, better for mashed potato, better for soup (obviously).
Spoons are also great in bed when you're with a woman.

They are my favourite utensil next to knifes, making my coffee, spooning stuff in my gob, mixing smack in them, crushing pills between them, no sharp edges in my mouth so many uses, spool spool damn gooood.

Spoon and Fork both have the secondary function of "cutting" through soft dishes with the side

Spoon> fork> knife
Nearly anything you eat with a fork, could be eaten with a spoon too. But liquids are exclusive to spoons. And as you said: you can cut soft food with spoon and fork. This is the official tierlist now

Well this might be really subjective, but every time I go to the canteen I get a knife and a fork and for the last year I can only remember a single time where I sat down at the table and realized I was missing a spoon.
But I guess your point is still valid
